Social Housing placements are made on a priority basis. All information provided on your application is placed into a standard rating system as outlined in Alberta Housing Act. This system determines the priority of need. (Those in greatest need will be offered the first available unit.)
Rent is based on 30% of the household's total gross monthly income (unless the income is from Social Assistance or Student grants). Heat and water charges are included in rent.
Damage deposit is required equal to first month's rent.
When completing the application, please be as specific as possible. The more information you provide, the easier it is to determine your need. Make sure you provide all the information requested such as your employer, landlord, sources of income etc. We also need a copy of your driver's license and Alberta Health Care Card.
We will not be able to process your application without all of the required information as listed on page 1 of the application.
