Senoir Citizen's Apartments

Dear Applicant,

Please find attached an application form for the following Senior's Self-Contained Apartments (one bedroom units) managed by Lacombe Foundation:

• Parkview Manor (Lacombe) – 40 apartment units on three levels, elevator in one wing only
• Cameron Manor (Lacombe) – 26 apartment units on two levels with an elevator
• Spruce Terrace (Lacombe) – 24 apartment units on three levels with an elevator
• Lakeview Manor (Alix) – 16 units on one floor with a common entryway
• Oxford Court (Bentley) – 6 bungalow-style units with private entry from outside to each unit
• Tower Manor (Blackfalds) – 4 bungalow-style units with private entry from outside to each unit
• Lions' Golden Villas (Eckville) – 8 bungalow-style units with private entry from outside to each unit
• Lamerton Place (Mirror) – 8 units on one floor with a common entryway

The application form lists all the above projects. Please list your choice of location and building in the order of preference.

All apartments managed by Lacombe Foundation are owned by Alberta Government and are intended for applicants who meet the following criteria:

A household is eligible for community social housing accommodation if that household

1. Is unable to acquire or maintain adequate or suitable housing without paying more than 30% of its total annual income for housing
2. Is comprised of Canadian citizens and /or individuals lawfully admitted into Canada for permanent residence
3. Is functionally independent (or independent with the assistance of existing community based services)
4. Has lived in the region for a minimum of 6 months
5. Maximum total household income does not exceed $22,000.00 for accommodation in the communities of Lacombe, Alix, Bentley and Mirror. Maximum income for accommodations Blackfalds does not exceed $26,000.00.

The rent is calculated at 30% of your gross monthly income, which is based on your previous year's Income Tax Summary (line 150). The rent includes heat and water/sewer charges. Additional charged apply to electricity, cable TV and parking. Meal and housekeeping services are available in Parkview Manor. Meal service is also available in Spruce Terrace and Cameron Manor (Mon -Thursday only).

Damage Deposit of $100.00 is required.

A Medical Form is included in the application and must be completed by your physician.

Please make sure that you fill out all the information required, attach your previous year's Income Tax Summary and list any assets that you have including real estate, investments etc. We will not be able to process your application without all of the required information.
